Ukrainian forces counterattack, advance in Svatove direction – Commander Syrskyi

Russian troops have resumed offensive actions near such settlements as Maksiutivka, Novoselivske, Kuzemivka, Makiivka, Belohorivka and Spirne. However, Ukraine’s Defense Forces not only repel enemy attacks but successfully counterattack and advance in the Svatove direction.

The relevant statement was made by Military Media Center on Telegram, referring to Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel General Oleksandr Syrskyi, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Commander Syrskyi paid another visit to the most challenging frontline areas. In his words, working directly in the areas of hostilities allows for maintaining control over a real situation on the ground.

Syrskyi noted the performance of the 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, whose servicemen not only repelled an enemy attack in the Svatove direction but successfully launched a counterattack and advanced 400 meters ahead.

Another example, according to Syrskyi, is the skilful actions of the 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade. Step by step, on a daily basis, through wise tactical actions, they liberated a significant area neaк the Ivanivske forest.
