Nighttime air attack: Man and child injured in Kyiv region

In Kyiv region on the night of June 2, a child and a man were injured in Russia’s air attack.

Ruslan Kravchenko, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Last night, the Russians attacked the region with missiles and drones. Thanks to the professional work of our air defenses, no hits were recorded. All enemy targets were destroyed. Unfortunately, there are casualties. As a result of falling debris, two people were injured, including a child. The man was hospitalized and underwent surgery, there is no threat to his life," the report says.

In addition, five private houses were damaged by falling debris. In three houses, the damage is minor - broken windows, cut facades. Fires broke out in two of them but were already extinguished.

Relevant services are working to eliminate the aftermath of the attack.

The Prosecutor General's Office reported on Telegram that an 11-year-old child was injured, and a 68-year-old man was hospitalized.

A pre-trial investigation has been initiated over the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Andrii Nebytov, the chief of Kyiv region police, wrote on Telegram that the air raid alert lasted for more than two hours, and five residential buildings were damaged.

"We received more than 32 reports of aerial objects from citizens last night. In one of the districts of the region, as a result of an attack in one of the estates, two cars were damaged," said Nebytov.

 As Ukrinform reported, according to preliminary data, the Russian aggressors used 15 cruise missiles and 18 Iranian-made Shahed kamikaze drones to attack Ukraine - all these air targets were intercepted.
