Air Force: 15 Russian missiles and 21 drones shot down overnight

Ukraine’s air defenses destroyed all 15 Russian cruise missiles and 21 attack drones on the night of June 2.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on its Telegram channel, Ukrinform reports.

"The occupiers do not stop their attempts to terrorize the capital of Ukraine with attack drones and missiles. Another nighttime attack ended in failure for the enemy and another success of the Ukrainian air defenses," the report says.

The Russians first attacked with Shahed-136/131 kamikaze drones around 23:00 on June 1. The drones entered the territory of Ukraine from the southern direction.

Around 03:00, Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles launched by Tu-95ms strategic bombers from the Caspian Sea were already over the territory of Ukraine. The missile entered from the northern direction, attacking Kyiv, maneuvering, trying to mislead the air defenses.

All 15 cruise missiles and 21 attack drones were destroyed by the forces and means of the Air Force, in cooperation with air defenses of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As reported by Ukrinform, a child and a man were injured in Kyiv region on the night of June 2 in massive enemy air strikes.
