Ukrainian forces launch 11 air strikes on enemy positions

Throughout the day, the Defense Forces of Ukraine launched nine air strikes on Russian clusters of personnel and military equipment, as well as two strikes the enemy’s anti-aircraft missile systems.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its evening update on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Throughout the day, the aircraft of the Defense Forces launched nine strikes on the areas where the enemy personnel and military equipment were concentrated, as well as 2 strikes targeting the enemy's anti-aircraft missile systems. Today, units of the missile forces and artillery struck 1 enemy command post, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 5 artillery units at firing position, 9 weapons and military equipment clusters," the report says.

It is noted that in the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 12 missile strikes using 10 Iskander-type ballistic and cruise missiles on Kyiv and 2 S-300 missiles on Kharkiv. In addition, the enemy launched 36 air strikes, carried out about 10 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas. The threat of further missile attacks and air strikes on the regions across Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on attempts to occupy Luhansk and Donetsk regions. Throughout the day, units of the Defense Forces repelled 19 enemy attacks.

The General Staff notes that Russian troops continue to suffer heavy losses on the battlefield. Therefore, the enemy continues to convert civilian facilities in the temporarily captured territories into medical facilities.

As reported, from February 24, 2022 to June 1, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 208,370 Russian invaders, including 460 occupiers in the past day alone.
