U.S. President Joe Biden says the U.S. continues to consider the transfer of long-range ATACMS munitions to Ukraine.

He made the comment while answering the question by U.S. journalist Alex Raufoglu, Ukrniform reports.

According to Biden, that Moscow is increasing air attacks on Ukraine is “not unexpected.”  The president emphasized that this is why Ukraine should be provided with "all that it needs."

Then the president was asked about the provision of ATACMS munitions to Kyiv.

"That’s still in play," Biden replied.

As reported, representatives of both parties of the American Congress renewed their call to the Joe Biden administration to send long-range ATACMS missiles to Ukraine.

ATACMS are long-range (up to 300 km) munitions for HIMARS, the systems Ukraine received last year. After Ukraine first started shelling Russian positions using HIMARS, this effectively allowed to cut Russian supply lines, disable their command posts, and destroy weapons and ammunition depots. Enemy forces began to move their key components beyond the reach of these systems.
