Russia’s 16th attack in May: All targets over Kyiv destroyed

The press service of the Kyiv City Military Administration announced this on Telegram with reference to a comment by Serhiy Popko, the head of the city military administration, Ukrinform reports.

"Just six hours after the nighttime attack, the aggressor country again launched a missile attack on Kyiv," Popko said.

He informed that according to preliminary information, the enemy had used ballistic missiles.

"This was already the 16th attack on the capital since the beginning of the month," Popko stressed.

According to him, all air targets were successfully destroyed by the air defense forces.

"According to the available information, there have been no hits on objects in Kyiv. Figures are being verified," he emphasized.

Popko reported that missile debris fell on the territory of capital’s districts: three cases in Obolonskyi district, one each in Desnianskyi and Dniprovskyi districts.

"Without critical damage. Information about the victims is currently being clarified," the head of the regional administration added.

As reported by Ukrinform, several powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv during an air raid alert. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that one person had been injured.
