Donetsk region’s Vuhledar struck by Russian artillery, aircraft 26 times

On May 28, 2023, Russian troops launched 22 artillery strikes and four air strikes on the Donetsk region’s city of Vuhledar.

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The day before Russians struck the suburbs of Kramatorsk – no casualties were reported. In the Volnovakha direction, 22 artillery strikes and four air strikes were launched on Vuhledar; Prechystivka came under enemy fire. In the Komar community, such settlements as Shevchenko and Burlatske were affected,” Kyrylenko wrote.

In the Donetsk direction, Russian invaders launched an air strike on Avdiivka last night, and shelled the city with artillery and the Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) on the morning of May 29, 2023. Enemy projectiles hit residential and industrial areas. Sixteen detached houses were damaged in Kurakhove.

In the Horlivka direction, Russian attacks caused damage to three houses in Toretsk, and four detached houses and one apartment block in the Chasiv Yar community.

In the Lysychansk direction, one house was hit in the Lysychansk community’s Yampil.

According to Kyrylenko, no casualties have been reported over the past day.
