Armed Forces of Ukraine repel 18 enemy attacks in east today
This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, May 28, published on Facebook.
According to the General Staff data, Ukraine’s Air Force launched 13 strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters and two strikes on enemy anti-aircraft missile systems during the day.
The missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit three areas of concentration of weapons and military equipment, S-300 anti-aircraft missile system, three command posts, and an ammunition depot of the Russian invaders.
In total, during the day, the Russian army launched 91 airstrikes and about 25 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements.
In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
The Russian Federation continues to maintain its military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine in Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions.
During the day, the Russians launched airstrikes near Kindrativka, Basivka, Mohrytsia, Myropillia, Slavhorod in Sumy region; Pletenivka and Vovchanski Khutory in Kharkiv region.
The enemy used mortars and artillery to shell Karpovychi, Tymonovychi, Zaliznyi Mist, Muravyi in Chernihiv region; Novovasylivka, Seredyna-Buda, Prohres, Demyanivka, Manukhivka in Sumy region; Lyptsi, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Vovchansk, Mala Vovcha, Budarky in Kharkiv region.
In Kupyansk direction, the Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Masiutivka in Kharkiv region. The invaders launched an airstrike near Kyslivka in Kharkiv region.
Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Masiutivka, Kyslivka and Berestove in Kharkiv region suffered from artillery and mortar attacks.
In Lyman direction, the Russian army did not carry out offensive operations during the day but attacked the areas of Yahidne in Kharkiv region; Serhiyivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Ivanivka, Spirne, Ray-Oleksandrivka, Vesele in Donetsk region from aircraft. Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne in Donetsk region came under Russian artillery fire.
In Bakhmut direction, during the day, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area northeast of Orikhovo-Vasylivka and in the direction of Ivanivske.
The invaders launched airstrikes in the area of Predtechyne, Bila Hora, Kurdiumivka, New York, Yablunivka in Donetsk region. Vasylivka, Pryvillia, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Kostiantynivka, and Pivnichne in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.
In Avdiyivka direction, Russian troops did not carry out offensive operations. Instead, Avdiyivka, Vodiane, and Pervomayske areas were attacked from the air. Avdiyivka, Pervomayske, and Karlivka came under artillery fire.
In Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 12 enemy attacks in the area of Maryinka. The invaders launched an airstrike there. Pobieda, Donetsk region, also came under enemy fire.
In Shakhtarske direction, the Russians launched an airstrike in Vuhledar area, shelled Paraskoviyivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka, Prechystivka, and Shakhtarske.
In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the invaders continue to hold the defense. Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Huliaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson, Zolota Balka, Mykhaylivka, Vesele, Kozatske, Mykolayivka, Lvove, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Dniprovske, Kizomys in Kherson region came under enemy fire.
Forced passportization of Ukrainian citizens continues in the temporarily captured Nyzhni Sirohozy district in Kherson region. According to the General Staff data, the Russian invaders are constantly putting pressure on local residents, threatening them, in particular, with deportation.
