Ukrainian forces destroy all 36 Shahed drones launched by Russians overnight

Ukraine's defense forces destroyed all 36 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones launched by the enemy in the early hours of Thursday morning.

According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force said this in a post on Telegram.

"On the night of May 25, 2023, the enemy attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones. In total, 36 loitering munitions were launched from the northern and southern directions. The enemy likely aimed to attack critical infrastructure and military facilities in the western regions of the state," the post said.

Those involved in repelling the attack were units of anti-aircraft rocket forces, fighter aircraft, mobile fire groups in the areas of responsibility of the Air Command South, Air Command Center, Air Command West, as well as the air defense of other components of Ukraine's defense forces.

The Ukrainian Air Force said all 36 drones had been destroyed through joint efforts.
