Ukraine reports 28 firefights in past day as Russians focus on five battlefield areas

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka axes.

That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"Twenty-eight combat clashes took place in the specified areas of the front," the morning operational update says.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy conducted 30 airstrikes and 39 attacks involving multiple rocket launchers, targeting Ukraine’s defense positions and populated areas.

It is highly likely that the Russians will continue to launch strike across the entire territory of Ukraine, the military believes.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has undergone no significant changes. Certain units of the Belarus armed forces continue to perform their routine tasks in the areas bordering Ukraine.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy conducted an airstrike on Yunakivka, Sumy region, as well as mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Hrinivka, Khotiivka, and Yanzhulivka in Chernihiv region; Bunyakyne, Volfine, Shpyl, Pavlivka, Kindrativka, Oleksiivka, and Yunakivka in Sumy region, as well as Udy, Veterynarne, Lyptsi, Zelene, Ohirtseve, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Budarky, and Zemlianka in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy does not stop trying to improve their tactical position. They launched offensive actions in the Masyutivka area – with no gains sealed. They also conducted an airstrike in the Kislivka area. Stroivka, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Ridkodub, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Tabaivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region, as well as Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

The enemy made no offensive efforts in the Lyman direction. An airstrike affected the area of Dibrova. Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske and Spirne in Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

On the Bakhmut axis, during the past day, the enemy ran unsuccessful offensive missions in the Ivanivske direction, conducted an airstrike in the area of Bila Hora. Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Markove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Kostyantynivka, Bila Hora, Toretsk, Severne, Pivdenne, and New York of Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In the Avdiivka direction, the enemy tool unsuccessful offensive moves toward Novokalynove and Avdiivka and conducted airstrikes near Novokalynove, Stepove, and Avdiivka. Artillery shelling was recorded in the areas of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, and Netaylove of Donetsk region.

In the Marinka direction, Ukraine’s defense forces repelled numerous enemy attacks. At the same time, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Heorhiivka and Kurakhove. Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, and Pobieda of Donetsk region were hit by artillery fire.

In the direction of Shakhtarske, the occupiers shelled Vodiane, Vuhledar, and Velyka Novosilka.

The enemy is on the defensive in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. They shelled Vremivka and Novosilka in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Malynivka, Hulyaipole, Hulyaipilske, Novoselivka, Omelnyk, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, and Kamianske in Zaporizhzhia region; Mykhailivka, Novotyahinka, and Veletenske in Kherson region, and the city of Kherson.

Ukraine’s Air Force delivered seven strikes on enemy manpower and equipment clusters.

Over the past day, Ukrainian troops also destroyed three enemy attack UAVs of the Shahed type and an Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone.

Rocket and artillery units hit two manpower clusters, four ammunition depots, an electronic warfare station, four artillery installations in firing positions, and four more “important enemy targets.”
