The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“I spoke about Russia’s massive attacks with drones and various missiles, namely the Kh-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched ballistic missiles. Thanked for the Patriot [surface-to-air missile] systems and noted their effective performance. Priority is given to additional air defense systems to enhance the protection of our skies,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.
The parties discussed the importance of arms and ammunition supplies, in particular long-range ammunition, and agreed on further cooperation.
Zaluzhnyi also briefed Milley on the situation in the key frontline sectors, defense operation, and preparations for further actions.
In addition, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine congratulated General Milley and the American military on the upcoming holiday, Armed Forces Day in the United States.
