Germany announces EUR 2.7B military aid package for Ukraine

Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Andriy Yermak said that Germany announced a new military aid package worth EUR 2.7 billion for Ukraine.

Yermak announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.  

"A new aid package from Germany worth EUR 2.7 billion has been announced," the President's Office head wrote.

According to Yermak, the package will include:

• 20 Marder IFVs;

• 30 Leopard tanks;

• 4 IRIS-T-SLM systems (12 launchers and hundreds of missiles);

• 200 reconnaissance UAVs;

• 100 armored vehicles;

• 100 logistical support vehicles;

• 15 Gepard systems;

• large amounts of ammunition.

As reported by Ukrinform, Germany's largest armaments company, Rheinmetall, announced plans to manufacture tanks, anti-aircraft defense systems and ammunition in Ukraine in the future.
