Shell crater about 8m wide found in Kyiv region

On the morning of May 9, a shell crater caused by Russian shelling was discovered in one of the districts of Kyiv region.

As Kyiv region police chief Andriy Niebytov posted on Telegram, the shell crater is about 8 meters wide and more than 2.5 meters deep.

There were no casualties or damages.

Law enforcement officers of Kyiv region examine the scene, Niebytov noted.

The Kyiv region police chief urged everyone to take shelter during an air raid alert.

As reported, on the night of May 8-9, the air raid alert was declared throughout Ukraine due to a Russian missile attack.

According to preliminary information, about 15 enemy air targets were detected and destroyed in the airspace around Kyiv.

In total, the Russians launched 25 Kalibr and Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles during two waves of shelling of Ukraine on the night of May 8-9. Twenty-three missiles were destroyed by the air defense units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
