Russians shell village in Chernihiv region, seven houses damaged

Seven residential buildings and an outbuilding were damaged as a result of shelling in the village of Hirsk Snovsk territorial community in Chernihiv region.

The Head of the Koriukivka Regional Military Administration Ivan Vashchenko said this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"As a result of the shelling by the Russians of the village of Hirsk, Snovsk city territorial community, which took place on 02.05.2023, seven residential buildings, one outbuilding were damaged, and one outbuilding was destroyed, including due to a fire caused by shelling, one residential building, one outbuilding was damaged, and one outbuilding was destroyed," Vashchenko said.

According to him, the crews of Koryukivka power distribution company are currently working to restore the damaged power lines. Representatives of the Regional State Administration, the city council and rescuers of the 8th State Emergency Response Unit (Snovsk) are also working at the site.

It is noted that a survey of the population is being conducted on the possible temporary relocation of people to safe parts of the district.

As reported by Ukrinform, on May 2, Russian troops fired four times at the border of Chernihiv region, causing a total of 40 attacks.
