Ukraine's SBU State Security Service, as part of counter-subversive measures held in the front-line areas of the Donetsk region, has detained a Russian informant who helped the enemy air missiles at Sloviansk.

The SBU reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

The culprit turned out to be an unemployed resident of Sloviansk, who was collecting intelligence data for the invaders about the location of Ukraine's defense forces in the city.

The man attempted to identify the areas of temporary stationing and movement of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard operating in the Bakhmut sector.

In the event of receipt of intelligence, the Russian invaders planned to use it to prepare missile strikes on the positions of Ukrainian troops.

According to the investigation, the perpetrator was in contact with the so-called "deputy commander of the commandant regiment of the DPR people's militia."

The man walked around the area and secretly recorded the locations of Ukrainian defenders, and then transmitted the information through a banned Russian social networking site.
