Russians attack Ukraine’s territory with strategic aircraft: 18 cruise missiles fired

On the night of May 1, 2023, Russian troops attacked the territory of Ukraine with strategic bombers, having fired 18 cruise missiles.
The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Around 02:30 a.m., Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine’s territory with strategic aircraft: nine Tu-95 bombers from the Murmansk region’s Olenegorsk and two Tu-160 bombers from the Caspian Sea. A total of 18 Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles were fired,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.
According to Zaluzhnyi, the anti-aircraft defense units of Ukraine’s Air Force destroyed 15 Russian cruise missiles.
