Some 27 combat engagements and 525 enemy strikes were recorded in the Bakhmut area in the past day, with Ukrainian defense forces destroying 154 Russian invaders.

Serhii Cherevatyi, spokesman for the Eastern Grouping of Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said this on national television, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"Bakhmut remains the enemy's main target where they are concentrating their maximum efforts, trying to surround and take this city. During the [past] day, they launched 525 strikes using various types and calibers of gun artillery, MLRS, there were 27 combat engagements, three airstrikes. Some 154 occupiers were killed, 156 were injured. An Akatsiya self-propelled artillery piece, a Lancet kamikaze drone and a field ammunition depot were also destroyed," he said.

Cherevatyi also added that the possibility of supplying Ukrainian defenders in Bakhmut remains.

"We have the possibility to maintain supplies to Bakhmut thanks to the comprehensive work of all elements of the Defense Forces, starting from artillerymen who constantly conduct counter-battery combat so that the enemy cannot take these [supply] routes under constant fire, ending with intelligence officers, Special Operations Forces who scout, provide the possibility of passage, as well as military engineers, motorists," he said.

According to him, the situation is dynamic, it is changing, but none of the enemy's statements about Russia's alleged complete control of the supply routes to Bakhmut and the cutting off of supplies to Ukrainians are true.
