A DNA laboratory has been deployed in Uman, Cherkasy region, to identify the citizens killed in the shelling by Russian Federation.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko said this, Ukrinform reports citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service.

"We are now identifying the bodies that we cannot identify today. We have a DNA laboratory on site. And all the relatives and friends of the citizens who lived in this house can apply to provide their DNA sample for comparison analysis," Klymenko said.

According to him, this tragedy confirms that Russia's terrorist attack on civilian infrastructure continues. "That is why we know and are confident that we must continue to fight and do everything possible to make the enemy leave our country," the minister said.

As reported, at dawn, the invaders fired cruise missiles at Uman. The entrance to one nine-story building was completely destroyed, and a total of 10 houses were damaged. The death toll in Uman from the Russian attack increased to 17 people.

According to Klymenko, it may take a day to clear the rubble.
