Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni wants Italians with their experience of revival after World War II and the economic miracle of the 1960s to join in building the future economic miracle of Ukraine.

Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni said this in a speech at a bilateral conference in Rome, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We are now helping Ukraine to create a new chapter in its history, and Italy has all the cards in its hands to play a primary role in this process... We, Italians, after the horrors of World War II, built the economic miracle of the 60s. I want us, the Italians, with our know-how to build the future economic miracle of Ukraine," Meloni said.

According to her, this is a challenge that Italians can meet, as they have well demonstrated the ability to turn crises into new opportunities.

"It could also lead to the economic level in Kyiv getting close to ours very quickly. This may happen sooner than we think," the Italian Prime Minister said.

As reported, a bilateral conference on Ukraine's reconstruction is taking place in Rome on April 26.
