Occupiers digging trenches in Crimea to have time to launder money - military spox
The Head of the Joint Press Center of the Operational Command "South" Nataliia Humeniuk said this on the air of the national telethon "United News", Ukrinform reports.
"The bureaucratic potential that has been accumulated in Crimea and felt quite calm during the annexation realizes that it is time to pack up, and they try to launder money in the end. Where a lot of money is allocated for defense facilities, they can turn some money in their favor by imitating this activity, realizing its pointlessness," said Humeniuk.
She also said that intercepts of Ukrainian intelligence confirm the occupiers' fears of the Ukrainian army's advance to the peninsula. In particular, they complain to their relatives about the inevitable offensive and the arrival of the Defense Forces.
As Ukrinform reported, the day before, Humeniuk said that the conditions of the military operation to land the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank of the Kherson region require information silence.
