"Let's be realistic, Russia is a strong enemy. In terms of the number of soldiers and weapons, the occupiers outnumber us. We also have our advantages, otherwise we would not have lasted so long. This is the professionalism of our military, this is motivation, because we are fighting a just war and defending our land. We have no choice, we are forced to defend ourselves and this gives us strength," she said.

In addition, Maliar noted, Ukraine is supported by assistance from its partners. "But let's be honest - the world was not ready for such a long and intensive war. Russia has been preparing for this for 30 years, so it is quite difficult to reach parity in weapons. And in Bakhmut, we see how the Russians are using all their means for a powerful offensive. Which we have been holding back for eight months," she emphasized.

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine emphasized that the assistance of our partners is extremely, even critically important for us. “The world is beginning to realize that we can stop Russia only together. And we have to do it, because Russia will not stop at the borders of Ukraine,” she said.

"If we, God forbid, do not stop them here, they will simply move on. Therefore, such events as the meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein format are extremely important not only for us," Maliar said.

As reported, Patriot air defense systems from the United States, the Netherlands and Germany have arrived in Ukraine.
