Ukrainian defenders on Monday repelled over 50 enemy attacks in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its evening update published on Facebook.

According to the update, throughout the day, the enemy launched 34 air strikes and mounted 31 shelling attacks using multiple rocket launchers. Civilian injuries were recorded.

The General Staff said the Russian aggressor continued to use terror tactics, with the probability of missile and air strikes on targets across Ukraine remaining high.

"The enemy is suffering significant losses and is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive action in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors. Throughout the day, our defenders repelled more than 50 enemy attacks in the said areas of the front. Bakhmut and Marinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities," the report said.

The General Staff said that about 200 recently mobilized Russian soldiers from reserve troops had arrived in Zaitseve, Donetsk region, to replenish losses.

"It was established that due to the lack of clear instructions regarding their further use, the short period of individual and collective training, and the unsatisfactory level of staffing with material property, these servicemen have a low level of moral and psychological state. Therefore, the new occupiers are looking for an excuse in every way to avoid participating in hostilities," the report said.

The General Staff added that Ukrainian forces' aircraft had carried out 12 strikes on areas where Russian occupiers were stationed. Russia's Merlin UAV was shot down. Throughout the day, units of Ukrainian rocket troops and artillery struck two enemy personnel concentration areas and an enemy electronic warfare station.
