Kharkiv region’s border areas come under enemy fire, houses damaged

On April 16, 2023, Russian troops were shelling the Kharkiv region’s border areas and frontline settlements in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Izium districts.
The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Syniehubov on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“At least 11 detached houses were damaged in the shelling of the Chuhuiv district’s Vovchansk; fires broke out,” Syniehubov wrote.
In the Kupiansk district’s Kurylivka, Russian mortar strikes caused damage to a detached house.
Another detached house was partially destroyed in Russia’s shelling of the Izium district’s Pershotravneve.
According to Syniehubov, no casualties were reported.
A reminder that, on April 14, 2023, two civilians were injured in mine blasts in the Kharkiv region.
