Russian forces launch two attacks on Nikopol district on Sunday

Russian troops attacked the Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region, twice on Sunday, April 16, injuring two people.

Mykola Lukashuk, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, said this in a post on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Today, the enemy shelled the Nikopol district twice - there are injured people and destruction. In the evening, the Russians attacked the Chervonohryhorivka community. The consequences are being investigated," the post said.

Earlier reports said that Russian troops had shelled a temple in Nikopol with heavy artillery, injuring two people.

One outbuilding was destroyed, while a temple, power lines, five private houses, four outbuildings and two cars were damaged.
