In the south, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian observation post located on the Dnipro River islands.

As the Operational Command "South" posted on Facebook, Ukraine’s Air Force launched two strikes on Russian manpower and equipment clusters in Kakhovka and Skadovsk districts of Kherson region.

Missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated ten Russian soldiers, 13 units of enemy weapons and equipment, including two reconnaissance UAVs, four artillery systems, one T-72 tank, and six armored vehicles.

In the area of responsibility “South”, increased tension and intensification of enemy shelling were recorded over the past day.

"Confirming their terrorist nature, the occupation forces increased fire and psychological pressure on the civilian population of the frontline and de-occupied territories," the Command noted.

In particular, Russian aircraft attacked Beryslav district of Kherson region three times, using guided aerial bombs and anti-radar missiles.

The invaders continue to destroy the industrial facilities of the region and strike agricultural lands. Trying to terrorize the liberated rear territories, the Russians renewed the practice of firing S-300 missiles on ground objects.

As reported, on April 15, the Russian army shelled Kherson region 70 times, firing 419 shells. In particular, the enemy hit the Tavriysky district of Kherson city with artillery, targeting the territory near an educational institution. A 48-year-old woman and her 28-year-old daughter were killed.

An 18-year-old boy received shrapnel injuries in a grenade launcher explosion in Novooleksandrivka community.

On April 15, in Mykolaiv region, the Russians shelled a settlement of Bashtanka district, damaging a kindergarten and a club. On the night of April 16, the invaders launched a missile attack on Snihurivka community, killing two teenagers.
