Armed Forces of Ukraine repel 40 enemy attacks

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 18:00, April 15, published on Facebook.

According to the report, the Russian army launched 19 airstrikes, four missile strikes, and more than 15 MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and the civilian infrastructure of populated settlements during the day.

The Russians continue to focus their main efforts on offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions. Bakhmut and Marinka remain at the epicenter of military operations. During the day, the Ukrainian defenders have repelled 40 attacks on the specified sections of the front, the General Staff emphasizes.

No signs of the formation of Russian offensive groups have been observed in Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions.

During the day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Buniakyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Shpyl, Yunakivka in Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, Russian troops mined the territory in the areas of four settlements and struck Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Berestove in Kharkiv region.

In Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near Dibrova. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Ivanivka and Spirne in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In Bakhmut direction, the Russians continue to go on the offensive. The battles for Bakhmut do not stop. The enemy launched an attack in the area of Khromove but had no success. Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Dyliyivka, and New York in Donetsk region were hit.

In Avdiivka direction, the Russian army made futile offensive attempts near Sieverne and Pervomayske areas, shelling more than 10 settlements near the contact line, including Keramik, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomayske, Karlivka in Donetsk region.

In Marinka direction, the Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of Marinka in Donetsk region. At the same time, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Kurakhove, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not carry out offensive operations but fired on the settlements of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region.

The invaders continue to hold the defense in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. During the day, Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk region; Malynivka, Huliaypole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region; and Kherson city were struck.

To replenish manpower, the Russian Federation conducts a mobilization support campaign. All available methods are used to popularize military service. The Russian leadership promises its citizens high financial support and a social package. In addition to mass media, propagandists hand out campaign leaflets with appropriate content in public places. Recently, the mobilization support campaign has intensified in Voronezh, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs.

"During the day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched five strikes on enemy clusters. Missile and artillery units hit three enemy manpower clusters, an area of concentration of artillery, a radar station, an anti-aircraft missile system, and an ammunition depot," the report reads.
