Ukraine's Armed Forces repel 40 enemy attacks – General Staff

Russian army continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Maryinka directions. The fiercest fighting continues in Bakhmut and Maryinka. About 40 enemy attacks were repelled over the last day.

That's according to an operational update by the General Staff, Ukrinform reports.

"During the day, the enemy launched six air and 19 missile strikes, 13 of them involving the S-300 air defense system, on the peaceful towns of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Also, the enemy launched about 20 MLRS salvos," the statement said.

No signs of enemy offensive groups being formed were detected in the Volyn, Polissya, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions. A comprehensive inspection of Belarusian army's combat readiness is underway.

During the day, Russian occupiers fired at the settlements of Halahanivka in Chernihiv region; Studenok, Rivne, Iskryskivshchyna, and Volfyne in Sumy region, as well as Kozacha Lopan, Tokarivka, Mali Prokhody, Strilecha, Lukiantsi, Neskuchne, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Nesterne, and Zemlianky in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, Stroivka, Dvorichanske, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Lyman Pershyi, Kindrashivka, Masiutivka, Tabaivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire.

In the Lyman direction, the Russian army undertook unsuccessful offensive efforts south of Dibrova and near Bilohorivka. The settlements of Novoselivsk, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Torske, Dibrova, and Spirne in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops continue to conduct offensive actions. Heavy fighting continues for the town of Bakhmut. Ukrainian defense forces repelled about 15 enemy attacks in this area. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Dyliivka, Toretsk and New York in Donetsk region came under hostile fire.

On the Avdiivka axis, Russian invaders ran offensive operations in Novokalynove and Pervomayske, failing to achieve any gains. They fired at residential areas of Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka in Donetsk region.

In the Maryinka direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensives in the Maryinka, Donetsk region, where Ukrainian defense forces repelled about 15 attacks. At the same time, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region came under Russian fire.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the Russian army carried out no offensive operations over the last day. They fired at Bohoiavlenka, Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka, Neskuchne, Zolota Nyva, and Vuhledar in  Donetsk region.

Russian troops remain on the defensive in the Zaporizhia and Kherson directions. Throughout the day, they have fired at a number of frontline settlements, including Vremivka and Novopil of Donetsk region; Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Mala Tokmachka, and Orikhiv of Zaporizhia region; Zolota Balka, Novoberyslav, Kozatske, Ivanivka, Mykilske, and Dniprovske in Kherson region, as well the city of Kherson.

Russian forces continue to exploit civilian healthcare facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. For example, after undrgoing surgeries in Horlivka City Hospital No. 2, injured Russian servicemen are transferred to a clinic of the Horlivka Machine-Building Plant. Currently, about 185 Russian medics operate in these civilian facilities. They provide services exclusively to Russian military personnel.

Ukraine's Air Force carried out five strikes on enemy cluster.

Missile and artillery units struck a Rusian control point, three manpowere and weapons clusters, as well as an e-warfare station.

As reported, Russian S-300 missiles hit Sloviansk, killing five civilians and leaving another 15 injured.
