The U.S. Army Command plans to rotate a combat team that is involved in training Ukrainian units at the Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany.

That’s according to the Pentagon spokesperson, General Patrick Ryder, who spoke at a briefing on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At the end of this month, the Arkansas Army National Guard's 39th Infantry Brigade Combat Team will replace the New York Army National Guard’s 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and assume command of the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine at Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany,” Ryder said.

The 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team took charge of the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine during a transfer authority ceremony in August of 2022.

“And we look forward to the arrival of the 39th and the continuation of the important work to provide Ukraine what it needs in terms of training to defend itself,” General Ryder said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin officially confirmed this week he would hold together with the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Milley the 11th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group on April 21. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany.
