Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel over 70 enemy attacks in four areas

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy continues to focus main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Over the past day, our defenders repelled 72 enemy attacks in the indicated directions," the General Staff said.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched one missile attack and 21 airstrikes, as well as 33 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems on the positions of Ukrainian troops and the civilian infrastructure of populated areas.

"The Russian Federation continues to disregard the laws and customs of war, so the probability of missile attacks and air strikes remains high throughout the territory of Ukraine," the General Staff added.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 13 strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment. Ukrainian defenders also shot down two enemy Orlan-10 UAVs.

Units of Ukrainian missile troops and artillery hit five areas of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as two radio e-warfare stations.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. Some units of Russian troops are remaining on the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

Over the past day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Bleshnia, Kamianska Sloboda, Hremyach in Chernihiv region; Volfyne, Katerynivka in Sumy region, as well as Veterynarne, Hlyboke, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Zybyne, Volokhivka, Okhrimivka, Cherniakhiv, Komisarove, Budarky, and Dovzhanka in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk direction, the settlements of Kolodiazne, Kamianka, Topoli, Krasne Pershe, Ridkodub, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Kindrativka, Pishchane and Berestove in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske in Luhansk region came under enemy fire.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near the settlements of Bilohorivka and Spirne. Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region and Yampolivka, Torske, Spirne in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations and attempts to take full control of the city of Bakhmut, fighting continues. Throughout the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations near the settlement of Bohdanivka. Nykyforivka, Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Markove, Bakhmut, Khromove, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Kurdiumivka, Ozarianivka, Druzhba, Toretsk and New York in Donetsk region came under enemy shelling.

In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the enemy carried out offensive operations in the areas of Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske and Marinka in Donetsk region, but had no success. The fiercest battles continue for Marinka. The settlements of Novokalynove, Orlivka, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Severne, Pervomaiske, Netailove, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, and Pobieda in Donetsk region came under enemy shelling.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, no enemy offensive operations were recorded. Russian forces shelled the settlements of Novomykhailivka, Shakhtarske, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka, Vuhledar, and Prechystivka in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson direction, the enemy continues to conduct defensive operations. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces attacks more than 30 settlements, including  Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk region; Novosilka, Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region; Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Beryslav, Kozatske, Burhunka, Ivanivka, Mykilske, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Veletenske in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

As reported by Ukrinform, from February 24, 2022 to April 11, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 179,320 Russian aggressors.
