Russian forces continue to focus main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions - more than 60 enemy attacks were repelled over the past day.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update, Ukrinform reports.

"In the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 3 missile attacks and 47 air strikes, in particular, using 17 Shahed-136 UAVs. 14 of them were destroyed by our defenders. The enemy also launched 42 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems. Civilian casualties have been reported," the General Staff said.

The probability of missile attacks and air strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high, because the enemy continues to use terror tactics.

On April 4, the Ukrainian Air Force launched nine strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment. A Russian high-precision KUB UAV was shot down. Units of missile troops and artillery, in their turn, hit three enemy command posts, 2 areas of concentration of manpower, 2 BM-21 Grad MLRS and an electronic warfare station.

In the Kupiansk direction, Masiutivka, Kupiansk, Kamianka and Pershotravneve in Kharkiv region and Novoselivske and Krokhmalne in Luhansk region came under enemy fire.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy is attempting to take full control of Bakhmut, and continues to storm it. In addition, the occupiers carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Bohdanivka in Donetsk region. Throughout the day, units of the defense forces repelled about 30 enemy attacks on the indicated section of the front. More than 15 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Severne and Shumy in Donetsk region came under enemy shelling.

Bakhmut and Marinka remain the epicenter of hostilities.

In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, Russian forces carried out offensive operations, with no success in the areas of Novokalynove, Severna, Pervomaiske and Marinka in Donetsk region. At the same time, the enemy shelled the settlements of Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Marinka.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations. Unmanned aerial vehicles were used to adjust artillery fire. Russian forces shelled the settlements of Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to build up its defensive capabilities. More than 30 settlements came under Russian shelling, including Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Mali Shcherbaky in Zaporizhzhia region; Kachkarivka, Zmiivka, Kozatske, Mykolaivka, Ivanivka, Dniprovske in Kherson region, as well as the city of Kherson.

In Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian occupiers continue to exert psychological pressure on the local population by spreading leaflets regarding their evacuation to Russia. They are scaring civilians with the upcoming offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In Velyka Kardashynka, Kherson region, due to the movement of heavy military equipment of the occupiers around the settlement, the entry and exit for all local residents is almost fully restricted, people are forbidden to leave their homes. Checks of documents and mobile phones have been strengthened.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Forces have already eliminated about 175,690 Russian invaders.
