Russia deploys six missile carriers in Black Sea – OC South

Russian forces have increased their naval group in the Black Sea up to 15 warships, including six missile carriers.

Ukrinform reports this with reference to the Operational Command South.

"Amid enemy aircraft activity in the southeastern sector, the naval group in the Black Sea grew to 15 warships, including as many as 6 missile carriers, 2 of which are submarines, which may indicate to an extremely high threat of a missile strike," the report says.

The operational command specified that the total volley of Kalibr missiles can reach 40.

The operational command also added that although it is quite likely that not all missile carriers are equipped, air raid sirens should not be ignored.  

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian Defense Minister Shoigu stated on April 4 that Russia had transferred Iskander-M systems capable of carrying nuclear missiles to Belarus.
