Bakhmut, Marinka remain epicenter of fighting - Ukraine's General Staff

The cities of Marinka and Bakhmut in Ukraine's Donetsk region remain the epicenter of hostilities, with about 20 enemy attacks repelled by Ukrainian defenders near Bakhmut throughout the day.

The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces said this in a situation update on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

The General Staff said Russian troops continue to focus their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka areas. Ukrainian defenders repelled over 45 enemy attacks in these sectors throughout the day.

Ukrainian combat aircraft carried out seven strikes on the enemy on Tuesday.

Units of the Ukrainian rocket forces and artillery hit two command posts and an electronic warfare station of the Russians.

Throughout the day, the Russian army launched two missile strikes and 28 air strikes, including with 17 Shahed-136 drones. The enemy also mounted seven attacks using multiple rocket launchers. Civilian casualties were recorded.

It was established that in the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine, the invaders continue to rob civilians and appropriating their homes.

In Starobilsk, Luhansk region, the Russian pseudo-government uses representatives of utility services to accommodate Russian military personnel in apartments and houses temporarily abandoned by Ukrainian citizens. Such actions are taking place under the guise of preventive checks of meter readings.

More cases have been recorded of civilians being driven away without any explanation after random checks of their mobile phones.
