Ukraine’s Armed Forces repel over 60 enemy attacks in four directions

The enemy is focusing main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka areas.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its morning update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched 5 missile attacks and 25 air strikes, conducted 34 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems... Units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine repelled more than 60 enemy attacks. Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities,” the report says.

In the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force launched five strikes on the clusters of occupiers, while units of air defense forces destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber.

Ukrainian missile troops and gunners hit three areas of concentration of enemy manpower, weapons and military equipment, an electronic warfare station, an ammunition depot and 2 enemy fuel depots.

The probability of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high, the General Staff said.

It is noted that as a result of Russian air strike on the infrastructure of the cities of Beryslav, Kherson region, and Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, civilians were injured, private houses and civil infrastructure objects were damaged.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. No signs of enemy offensive groups’ formation have been detected. In the past 24 hours, the enemy shelled the areas of Chernatske, Esman, Kucherivka, Bilopillia, Volfyne and Basivka in Sumy region, as well as more than 15 areas of the settlements in Kharkiv region, including Udy, Strelecha, Hlyboke, Krasne, Pishchane, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Bochkove and Komisarove.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the districts of Stelmakhivka and Vyimka. Areas of Kupiansk, Kolodiazne, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Petropavlivka, and Kyslivka settlements in Kharkiv region; Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Kuzmyne, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Kolodiazi, Spirne and Siversk regions in Donetsk region came under artillery shelling.

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues its assault on Bakhmut. However, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 28 enemy attacks. At the same time, throughout the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka. Russian forces shelled the settlements of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Novomarkove and Oleksandro-Shultyne in Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka and Marinka directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the areas of Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severna, Pervomaiske, Marinka in Donetsk region. Novokalynove, Stepove, Avdiivka, Severne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region came under enemy shelling.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy shelled the areas of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, and Velyka Novosilka.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is holding the defense. Russian forces shelled more than 20 settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Staroukrainka, Charivne in Zaporizhzhia region; Mykhailivka, Novooleksandrivka, Novoberyslav, Tomaryne, Rozlyv in Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

As reported by Ukrinform, from February 24, 2022 to March 29, 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated about 172,340 Russian soldiers.
