Gas pipelines hit in Russia’s overnight attack on Sumy region

The gas supply pipeline network has been damaged in Russia’s massive air attack on the Sumy region, which took place on the night of March 24, 2023.

The relevant statement was made by Sumygas JSC on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The gas supply pipeline network has been damaged due to the massive shelling of the Sumy region with various weapons,” the report states.

The Bilopillia branch of Sumygas JSC continues to inspect gas supply systems in the Bilopillia, Vorozhba, Richky and Mykolaivka communities. Repair crews immediately begin to restore the damaged gas pipeline sections.

A reminder that, on the night of March 24, 2023, Russian troops massively attacked the Sumy region with aircraft, multiple launch rocket systems and drones. Explosions were recorded in five communities. The Bilopillia community suffered the most: many residential houses were destroyed and casualties among civilians were reported. Two persons were killed, including a police officer.
