Defense forces repel more than 79 enemy attacks in five directions

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, March 24, published on Facebook.

"The enemy focuses its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions. Thanks to professional and coordinated actions, our defenders repelled more than 79 enemy attacks," the report reads.

Over the past day, the Russian occupiers launched 37 airstrikes, four missile strikes, one of which hit Kramatorsk, and 82 MLRS attacks.

In Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly. The Russian Federation continues to maintain a military presence in the territory of the Republic of Belarus. However, formations of offensive groups were not spotted. At the same time, the enemy continued to reinforce the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy shelled more than 20 areas of populated settlements with mortars and tube artillery, in particular, Tymonovychi in Chernihiv region; Zarutske and Popivka in Sumy region; Morozova Dolyna, Strilecha, Hlyboke, Krasne, Ternova, Starytsia, Zemlianka, Kreydianka, Vilkhuvatka, Shevyakivka, Ambarne, Bolohivka in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy hit with artillery Hrianykivka, Kupyansk, Krokhmalne, Tabaivka, Terny in Kharkiv region; Novoselivka, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Nevske, Pishchane, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Hryhorivka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne in Donetsk region.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy kept assaulting Bakhmut. It was in the area of this city that the largest number of combat clashes took place in the specified direction over the past day. Enemy attacks were also repelled in the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, and Predtechyne settlements in Donetsk region. The enemy shelled Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Predtechyne, Zalizne, Pivnichne, New York in Donetsk region. More than 15 settlements in total were struck.

In Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive actions towards the settlements of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Avdiivka, Sieverne, Pervomaiske, Marinka, Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Netaylove, Lastochkyne, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, Orlivka, Novomykhailivka, and Prechystivka in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

The enemy continues to defend itself in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions. At the same time, the invaders shelled intensively, in particular, Olhivske, Malynivka, Chervone, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka, Stepove, and Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Chervonyi Mayak, Beryslav, Lviv, Novotiahynka, Antonivka, Kherson in Kherson region.

Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian aircraft launched 12 strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters. Our defenders also shot down two Kh-59 missiles and four UAVs of various types.

At the same time, missile and artillery units hit an enemy command post, manpower, weapons, and military equipment clusters, an anti-aircraft missile system, and two fuel depots.
