Finland to hand over three mine-clearance vehicles based on Leopard 2 to Ukraine

Finnish Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen announces the transfer of three armored mine-clearance vehicles based on Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, the Finnish Defense Ministry reported this.

The transfer of this equipment will be part of the 14th military aid package. On March 23, Finnish President Sauli Niinistö approved the government's proposal. The package also includes heavy weapons and ammunition.

Finland will also train the Ukrainian military in the use and maintenance of these vehicles.

The current defense equipment package is worth almost 161 million euros.

Earlier, Finland has already decided to donate three armored mine-clearance vehicles based on Leopard 2. In total, Finland will provide Ukraine with six such vehicles.

As Ukrinform reported previously, the Finnish Defense Ministry announced that it would provide Ukraine with the 13th batch of military aid, including three Leopard 2 tanks.
