Slovakia hands over four MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine

The Slovak Republic has handed over the first four of its MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by CNN, referring to Slovak Defence Minister Jaroslav Naď, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

This comes days after Slovakia pledged 13 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, along with Poland which pledged four.

A reminder that, on March 17, 2023, the Government of Slovakia approved sending 13 MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

The United States offered Slovakia to purchase 12 new Bell AH-1Z Viper helicopters at a discount after Bratislava agreed to send its MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.
