Missile attack on Zaporizhzhia: 17 injured, including two children

In Zaporizhzhia, at least 17 people, including two children, were injured in a Russian missile attack on an apartment block.

"The enemy fired six missiles, some of them hit residential buildings. It is currently known of 17 injured, including two children. Their condition is mild. Five people were given assistance on the spot, four people were seriously injured, and seven people are in moderate condition. Nobody was killed," Yuriy Malashko, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said at the scene, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, emergency and rescue operations are currently underway.

A fire broke out after the strike. Windows in nearby houses were blown out.

"There is information that one missile hit the roof of [another] multi-story building and did not explode. Specialists have left for the site," Malashko said.

The residents of the damaged houses are evacuated to municipal dormitories, hotel rooms have been prepared, some are going to stay with relatives, the governor added.

As reported, the enemy hit residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia city and Khortytsia Island in Zaporizhzhia region.
