Defense of Bakhmut continues, Ukrainian forces eliminate enemy 24/7 - Syrskyi

Along the front line in the area of responsibility of the eastern grouping of Ukrainian forces, intense fighting grinds on, the defense of Bakhmut continues.

Commander of Ukraine’s Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi said this in a post on Telegram and published relevant photos, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, Ukrainian forces destroy enemy military equipment, as well as Russian military personnel in the Bakhmut direction.

"Enemy assault groups are trying to advance from the outskirts to the city center, but the Defense Forces are operating and eliminating them 24/7," Syrskyi emphasized.

According to the commander, the artillery of the 24th Brigade named after King Danylo is striking powerful blows on enemy positions, while paratroopers of the 80th Brigade are repelling Russian assaults, preventing them from advancing.

"The feat of each of our soldiers will go down in the history of Ukraine. We will win!" stressed the Ground Forces commander.

As reported, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, over the past day, the enemy’s main objective was to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The Russians focused their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions. With their professional and coordinated actions, Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 120 enemy attacks in the specified directions.
