A teenage boy from Lysychansk, Luhansk region, temporarily captured by the Russian invaders, told authorities through the Children of War government portal that he had been deported to Russia.

That’s according to the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.

The youngster sent the relevant appeal through a government-run e-service portal, jointly created by the National Police and other state agencies as an outreach platform.

The boy, born in 2007, reported that he had been deported to one of the Russian cities and had Russian citizenship imposed on him.

On a separate note, the administration noted that in Krasnorichensk, the Russians removed slabs from the rail station platform and installed them on the Krasna River to make an improvised dam. "As a result, the river overflowed, flooding the entire lowland, including a number of households. It is likely that the occupiers are trying in this way to hamper the offensive of Ukraine’s Armed Forces," the statement reads.

As emphasized by the administration, the invaders accelerated the procedure of renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship in the captured territory and at the same time complicated the process of issuing Russian passports. An additional condition introduced is the translation into Russian of all documents filed as part of application paperwork.

“Specially organized translation points are being opened on the territory of the so-called ‘LPR,’” the regional administration added.
