Russian forces shell settlements in Donetsk region, casualties reported

Russian forces have shelled settlements in the Donetsk region, damaging apartment buildings and private houses.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, head of the Donetsk regional military administration, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"In the Donetsk sector, one person was killed in Tonenke of the Ocheretyne community. Shelling was recorded in Marinka, Heorhiivka and Pobieda of the Marinka territorial community. The Russians shelled Kurakhove eight times, damaging more than 12 high-rise buildings, 20 private houses, an art school and a lyceum in the city. There are no victims," the report said.

According to the report, 16 more houses were damaged in Bakhmut - the exact calculation of the destruction and casualties is complicated by constant shelling.

In Kostiantynivka, one civilian was killed and two were wounded.

"Shelling damaged four houses, two stores, the building of a former hospital, an overpass and the premises of an enterprise. One person was wounded in Mykolaivka. The outskirts of the Soledar territorial community are under constant shelling," the regional military administration said.

In the Lysychansk sector, at midnight, the Russians launched a missile attack from S-300 systems on Lyman. No casualties were recorded. Information about the destruction is being established. In Siversk, private houses on two streets were damaged.
