Armed Forces of Ukraine repel 92 attacks in five directions

Over the past day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 92 enemy attacks in five directions.

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, March 12, published on Facebook.

Over the past day, the enemy launched 12 airstrikes and five missile strikes, two of which – on the city of Zaporizhzhia. The Russian occupiers used S-300 missile system to hit a civilian infrastructure object. As a result, one building was destroyed.

There were no civilian casualties. In addition, the enemy launched 56 MLRS attacks, in particular hitting a civilian infrastructure object in Kherson city. Two civilians were killed and three more were injured.

The enemy still aims to reach the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. For this purpose, the enemy focused its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions. With their professional and coordinated actions, Ukrainian troops repelled 92 enemy attacks in these directions.

The operational situation remained stable in Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions. The Russian Federation continues to maintain a significant military presence in the Republic of Belarus. The formation of offensive groups was not detected. At the same time, the enemy continues to reinforce border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions. The enemy fired mortars and artillery at the areas of eight settlements, namely: Chervona Zoria, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Kolodiazne, Krasne Pershe, Novomlynsk, and Kamyanka in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the enemy maintained a significant military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine to prevent our units from moving to other directions. The occupiers unsuccessfully tried to break through the defense of our troops, firing artillery at the areas of 13 settlements along the contact line. In particular, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Pischane in Kharkiv region; Novoselivske, Nevske, Kuzmyne, Bilohorivka, Stelmakhivka in Luhansk region; Dibrova, Rozdolivka, Spirne, and Yahidne in Donetsk region were struck.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy kept assaulting the town of Bakhmut. Near the contact line, Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Oleksandro-Shultyne, Zalizne, and New York in Donetsk region came under enemy fire. In general, 15 settlements in Bakhmut direction were struck.

In Avdiivka, Marinka, and Shakhtarsk directions, the enemy tried to go on the offensive towards Kamyanka, Sieverne, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka in Donetsk region but had no success. Eighteen settlements near the contact line, including Berdychi, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Bohoyavlenka, Vuhledar, Zolota Nyva, Oleksandropil, Orlivka, Tonenke, Pervomayske, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Novoukrainka, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to defend itself. The invaders intensively shelled the populated settlements, including Malynivka, Huliaypole, Bilohirya, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Novoandriyivka, Mali Shcherbaky, Olhivske, Chervone, Charivne, Tavriyske, Prydniprovske, Plavni, Kamyanske, Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region; Novopil in Donetsk region; Novodmytrivka, Mykhailivka, Dudchany, Zmiivka, Vesele, Ivanivka, Antonivka, Bilozerka, Dniprovske, Republikanets, Chervonyi Mayak, Novosilka, Odradokamyanka, Olhivka, Tiahynka, Tokarivka, Poniativka, Romashkove, Kherson in Kherson region. Nearly 40 settlements were hit.
