War update: Enemy conducting offensive in five directions, over 100 attacks repelled
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Russian troops have launched 29 air strikes and four missile strikes on the Donetsk region over the past day. Additionally, the enemy opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 100 times. Casualties among civilians were reported, as well as the damage caused to civil infrastructure and residential houses.
The threat of Russian missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, Russian occupiers continue attempts to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and SLobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected. Russian troops continue hardening positions within the border areas of the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
The enemy launched mortar and artillery strikes near the Chernihiv region’s Senkivka, Yeline, Hai and Leonivka; the Sumy region’s Znob-Novhorodske, Seredyna-Buda, Khodyne and Atynske; and the Kharkiv region’s Strilecha, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Ambarne, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne and Kamianka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops are making attempts to improve their tactical position. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Kharkiv region’s Hrianykivka, Masiutivka, Kyslivka, Pishchane and Krokhmalne, and the Luhansk region’s Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Nevske and Kuzmyne.
In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers continue storming. Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks near Zaliznianske, Paraskoviivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Bohdanivka and Ivanivske. Nineteen settlements came under enemy fire.
In the Avdiivka, Marinka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian invaders conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Donetsk region’s Kamianka, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Sieverne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Novomykhailivka.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops were holding defense. Over 30 settlements came under enemy fire, namely Zolota Balka, Kachkarivka, Kairy, Kozatske, Mykolaivka, Ivanivka, Inhulets, Molodizhne, Inzhenerne and Kherson.
According to the available data, within the Donetsk region’s temporarily occupied areas, Russian occupiers continue putting pressure on local residents. In Volodymyrivka, the entry of citizens without registration is completely forbidden. Checkpoints were set up, and local residents are not allowed to move through the streets.
Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched 11 strikes on enemy clusters and one strike on a Russian air defense missile system position. The Ukrainian military shot down Russia’s Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle. Meanwhile, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit five enemy personnel clusters, one air defense system and one ammunition depot.
