Kremlin preparing provocation on Ukraine–Belarus border – intelligence
"Information has been received that the Russian military-political command is planning a large-scale provocation on Ukraine–Belarus border in the near future. To cover the provocation in detail, main Russian propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov is expected to arrive in Belarus. On March 11, it is planned to organize a tele- and radio conference and a live broadcast at the scene for Russian propaganda media," the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense posted on Telegram.
According to intelligence data, several groups of Russians are already arriving in Belarus for this purpose.
"Probably, the plans of the occupiers foresee the threat of destruction of infrastructure facilities and possible civilian casualties," reads the report.
It is noted that the purpose of the provocation is "to create a hostile public opinion about Ukraine among Belarusian citizens and ensure the full-fledged participation of the country's armed forces in the war on the side of the Russian Federation."
At the same time, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense emphasizes that Ukraine does not conduct any military operations in the territory of Belarus.
On March 7, Andriy Demchenko, the Spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, said that the redeployment of Russian military units from Belarus after training in its territory was observed.
