Ukrainian defenders hit Russian missile system, air defense system at firing positions

Ukrainian defenders struck Russian anti-aircraft missile system and air defense system at firing positions.

This is stated in the latest report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

"During the day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched 12 strikes on the enemy personnel and military equipment clusters and hit an anti-aircraft missile system at a firing position," the report reads.

It is noted that the Ukrainian missile and artillery units struck three enemy personnel clusters and an air defense system at a firing position.

The Russian Federation, meanwhile, continues to wage full-scale armed aggression without giving up its intentions to seize Ukraine. The main efforts of the Russian Federation are focused on offensive operations in Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Shakhtarsk directions.

During the day, the enemy forces launched 42 airstrikes, five missile strikes, and more than 10 MLRS attacks, in particular targeting the populated settlements.

The operational situation in Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions has not changed significantly. The formation of the enemy offensive groups was not detected. At the same time, the Russians continue to keep their units near the state border of Ukraine.

During the day, the invaders launched mortar and artillery strikes on the areas of Senkivka in Chernihiv region; Starikove, Holyshivske, Pavlivka, Volfyne in Sumy region; Veterynarne, Strilecha, Krasne, Ternova, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Budarky in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk and Lyman directions, the Russian army is trying to break through the defensive lines of the Ukrainian defenders. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Hrianykivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka, and Fedorivka.

The areas of Putnykove, Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Krokhmalne in Kharkiv region; Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, and Dibrova in Luhansk region; Terny, Yampil, Rozdolivka, Fedorivka in Donetsk region suffered from Russian artillery strikes.

"In Bakhmut direction, the enemy, regardless of losses, does not stop assaulting the city of Bakhmut and its outskirts. The enemy also went on the offensive in the areas of Zaliznianske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, and Ivanivske, but didn’t have success," the General Staff noted.

In the same direction, Russian troops fired artillery and mortars at the areas of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Druzhba, Mayorsk, and New York in Donetsk region.

In Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, the Russians carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near Krasnohorivka, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka, and Pobeda in Donetsk region.

Areas of settlements located along the contact line, including Krasnohorivka, Kamyanka, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Marinka, Vuhledar, and Velyka Novosilka in Donetsk region, came under enemy fire.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops defend themselves. Vremivka in Donetsk region, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Huliaypilske, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Kherson, Shliakhove, Kozatske, Tiahynka, Chornobayivka, Bilozerka in Kherson region were hit by the enemy army.
