In the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have launched 18 strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment units, two strikes on Russian air defense missile system positions, as well as hit an enemy ammunition depot and bridge.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Meanwhile, Russian troops launched six missile strikes and 24 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 65 times, namely on civil infrastructure. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The threat of Russian missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

Russian invaders are focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders have repelled over 130 attacks in these directions.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected. The enemy opened fire on the Sumy region’s Kucherivka, Bilokopytove, Starykove, Khodyne, Ryzhivka, Atynske, Holyshivske, Pavlivka and Sadky, and 35 settlements in the Kharkiv region, including Veterynarne, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Budarky, Dvorichanske, Novomlynsk and Dvorichna.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian invaders conducted offensive actions near the Luhansk region’s Nevske, Serebrianske forestry and Bilohorivka but had no success. The enemy launched artillery strikes near the Kharkiv region’s Hrianykivka, Kyslivka, Pishchane, Krokhmalne; the Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka, Bilohorivka; and the Donetsk region’s Terny, Spirne, Fedorivka and Rozdolivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops continue attempts to encircle the city of Bakhmut. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders have repelled numerous enemy attacks near the Donetsk region’s Vasiukivka, Zaliznianske, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske and Bakhmut.

In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian invaders unsuccessfully attacked the positions of Ukrainian forces near such settlements as Kamianka, Sieverne, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Marinka and Pobieda. The enemy launched artillery and mortar strikes on over 30 settlements.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian occupiers are holding defense and attempting to improve their tactical position to resume the offensive. The enemy launched artillery strikes on over 40 settlements, including the Zaporizhzhia region’s Olhivske, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria and Kamianske; the Kherson region’s Beryslav. Olhivka, Lvove, Mykilske, Dniprovske and Kherson; and the Mykolaiv region’s Ochakiv.

According to the available data, in the Kherson region’s Nova Kakhovka, Russians are using civilians as a ‘living shield’. Russian occupation troops are deploying air defense systems in between residential areas.

The Russian military command is losing control over the so-called ‘cossack battalions’. In particular, Russia’s Step/Tigr cossak battalion, completing tasks near Vuhledar, is extremely dissatisfied with the command of the Russian army and neglecting interaction with its military units.

Over the past day, the Ukrainian military have shot down four enemy reconnaissance and strike drones. Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit three enemy clusters, two air defense system positions and two electronic warfare systems.
