Kostin: Dialogue Group to provide international support for investigation into Russia’s crimes against Ukraine

Dialogue Group will ensure the strengthening of international support for Ukraine on the legal front regarding the investigation into Russia's crimes against Ukraine.

"Dialogue Group has been created to coordinate national and international efforts to investigate crimes committed in Ukraine as a result of Russian armed aggression," Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said at the United for Justice conference in Lviv, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Prosecutor General's Office.

As noted, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra, EU Commissioner for Justice Didier Reynders, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Khan, President of Eurojust Ladislav Hamran, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba, representatives of international institutions and countries that initiated the creation of Dialogue Group also joined the statement.

"There can be no peace without justice and accountability. We cannot and will not simply forget the horrors experienced in Izium, Bucha, Irpin, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mariupol, and other cities. Ukraine firmly believes in the mobilization of international and national efforts to ensure the accountability of Russia as a state, as well as the personal prosecution of the guilty, in accordance with the norms of international law," Kostin emphasized.

He also informed that "the Dialogue Group's efforts will be focused on coordinating efforts in four areas: technical and expert assistance, cooperation with international organizations and partners engaged in the collection of evidence, comprehensive cooperation within the framework of national investigations, work with NGOs."

"As a platform for cooperation, the Dialogue Group will join forces and help actors of justice in Ukraine and third countries, international mechanisms, and civil society," Kostin summarized.

As reported, the United for Justice conference or "legal Ramstein format" began in Lviv on March 3.
