Enemy attempting to advance and increasing number of personnel in five directions

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in its operational update published on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“During the current day, the enemy launched 8 missile attacks and 28 air strikes, including 12 attacks with the use of Iranian-made Shahed-136 UAVs. They carried out more than 55 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems. The threat of missile strikes throughout the territory of Ukraine remains high," the report says.

It is noted that the enemy is focusing main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, as well as on increasing the number of personnel in these areas. According to the available information, up to 200 conscripts from the Rostov region were relocated to the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, no formation of offensive groups was recorded. In the border districts of the Bryansk and Kursk regions, the enemy conducts engineering equipment of the area, including anti-tank ditches. During the day, the enemy launched mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Khrinivka and Yeline in Chernihiv region; Budivelne, Hirky, Atynske, Volfyne, Pavlivka, Stepok in Sumy region; Veterynarne, Strelecha Hatyshche, Vovchanski Khutory, Kamianka in Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the enemy carried out several unsuccessful offensives

In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy shelled settlements, including Zaliznianske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Berkhivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Klishchiivka and Ozarianivka in Donetsk region.

The enemy continues to attack the Ukrainian positions in the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian forces shelled the areas of 17 settlements.

In the Kherson direction, more than 20 settlements of Kherson region, located on the right bank of the Dnipro River, came under enemy artillery fire, including Berehove, Beryslav, Vesele, Tiahynka, Antonivka and the city of Kherson.

According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian Air Force launched four strikes on the areas of concentration of enemy personnel and military equipment. In addition, during the current day, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 9 out of 12 Iranian-made UAVs of the Shakhed-136 type and one UAV of the Zala type. Units of the rocket forces and artillery hit a Russian command post and manpower cluster, as well as their air defense system position.

As reported, from February 24, 2022 to February 27, 2023, the Defense Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 148,690 Russian soldiers.
