Zelensky hopes South Korea will help Ukraine with weapons

Ukrinform
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he hopes that South Korea will find an opportunity to provide military aid to Ukraine.

He said this at a press conference entitled "February. A Year of Invincibility" in Kyiv on Friday, February 24, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Commenting on NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg's call for South Korea to provide military support to Ukraine, Zelensky said that "we look positively if weapons are supplied to us."

"We were inviting South Korea's leadership to Ukraine. We were preparing the visit of our prime minister to South Korea - this was at a time when I could not leave Ukraine. We are very interested in our bilateral relations, it is very important to us. And I think that we can further develop them. There are details that are being discussed with other countries about this wonderful country, and I hope that it will find an opportunity to help Ukraine," Zelensky said.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Seoul on January 30 called on the South Korean authorities to review their policy of refusing to supply weapons to countries participating in military conflicts and to provide military support to Ukraine.
