War update: Ukrainian air forces launch 13 strikes on enemy positions

The Air Force of Ukraine’s Defense Forces has launched 13 strikes on enemy positions in the past 24 hours. Additionally, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit one Russian ammunition depot.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, the Air Force of Ukraine’s Defense Forces has launched 13 strikes on enemy personnel clusters and one strike on Russia’s air defense missile system position. Our missile and artillery units hit three enemy personnel clusters, one artillery unit in firing position, one ammunition depot and two other important enemy targets,” the report states.

Russian troops launched another massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine. The Ukrainian military shot down 16 out of 36 enemy missiles. Russian invaders also launched 12 air strikes and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 10 times. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The threat of Russian missile and air attacks is persisting all over Ukraine.

Despite significant losses, Russia does not give up its aggressive plans. The enemy continues focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Slobozhanskyi and Siverskyi directions, the enemy keeps certain military units within the areas bordering with Ukraine, but no offensive groupings were detected.

Over the past day, Russian invaders have opened fire on the Sumy region’s Popivka, Bachivsk and Partyzanske, and the Kharkiv region’s Veterynarne, Hraniv and Vovchansk.

Additionally, an enemy helicopter struck the Kharkiv region’s Udy from the territory of Russia.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian troops shelled the Kharkiv region’s Dvorichna and Hrianykivka, the Luhansk region’s Stelmakhivka, Nevelske and Chervonopopivka, and the Donetsk region’s Berestove.

In the Bakhmut direction, such settlements as Spirne, Vyimka, Bilohorivka, Vesele, Rozdolivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Stupochky, Predtechyne, Oleksandro-Shultyne and Kurdiumivka came under enemy fire.

In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian occupiers launched artillery strikes on the Donetsk region’s Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka and Neskuchne.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian invaders shelled the Donetsk region’s Zelene Pole, and the Zaporizhzhia region’s Malynivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mala Tokmachka, Orikhiv, Novoandriivka and Kamianske.

In the Kherson direction, the enemy launched artillery strikes on Zmiivka, Tokarivka, Andtonivka and Kherson. Casualties among civilians were reported.

In the Kherson region’s Hola Prystan, Russian occupation authorities are putting pressure on local residents in order to re-issue ownership rights in accordance with the Russian law. In particular, the occupiers are spreading information that those citizens of Ukraine who fail to meet Russian requirements before May 2023 will be deported to Russia.

In the temporarily occupied city of Mariupol, Russian invaders are conducting mobilization efforts among certain social groups. Now, homeless people and those with alcohol and drug addiction are drafted in the Russian army.
